Does anybody know what kind of 8'' sub comes factory installed with the 350 watt system in the EX. I'm thinking about replacing it. Does anybody know the specs???

its an 8" subwoofer, but....
i wouldnt say its 350W factory, probably more like 40-50W RMS,
so dont go and think you can jam a sweet 300W 8" sub from Future shop as this may cook your EX amplifier. Youd have to upgrade the amp to go aftermarket for more punch.

It wouldn't necessarily fry the amp if the subs have the same impedance. You don't want to replace the sub with one that has a lower impedance, it would draw more current from the amp than it was designed to supply.

Anyway, without a more powerful amp it would be pointless to replace just the sub.

I was woundering if anyone has installed a aftermarket head unit in a 06-up civic si, the reason that im asking is because im going to be installing a pioneer headunit in my 08 si and i purchased the harness through crutchfield.com and they say that it by passes the factory amp, and sub woofer, i was woundering if anyone has ever installed one and found a way to have the facotry set up work.
