New Owner Checking In

Hi all,

Over the weekend, I just picked up an '07 Atomic Blue Metallic Sedan LX with a 5-spd manual. I had to get rid of my GMC full size crew cab and its 18 mpg that were draining my bank account. It's amazing that the horsepower to weight ratio is almost the same on the two vehicles, but this one is actually fun to drive, to say nothing of filling it up or maneuvering in a parking garage.

I've been a gearhead since I started driving, first car was a 1986 Mustang SVO, so its cool to see that there is at least a following of enthusiasts for the Civic.

From looking around, it doesn't look like there is much of an aftermarket built up for the non-Si 8th gens yet, but hopefully that will change soon. For now I'm just planning to tint the windows and get a set of 17's to replace the stock steelies and wheelcovers. I'd post a pic, but its bone stock, so you all already know what it looks like.

thanks, and I'll see you around.
