Unhappy 06 Civic LX

Hi, I just got my new Honda Civic LX about two months ago. I'm thinking of getting new wheels for it and maybe some other things but still to keep it nice. The color of the car is Nighthawk Black. Does anyone have any ideas, it would help a lot. I kind of wanted to wait to put some miles on my tires before i change them and now that i have 3000 miles i think its time for a new look

The only suggestion I can make recommend is to stay with the 16" and as this will save you money on both rims and tires plus you won't have to worry about having the wrong size brake rotors for your car.

The larger the rims and tires, the bigger and better the brakes must be to handle them and bring the car to a stop safely without overheating your brakes

the way i see it as long as you are not a hard driver, more like laid back and just drive around town it should be good, really you can just upgrade your rotors and brake pads.

if you decide to put larger than stock rims don't put a tire that is too thin then the it hampers the ride quality quite a bit, other than that its good to go.

ok so here's the deal.. i've been a tire tech for years, and i've had my fair share of all different sizes of wheels and tires.. for your car... does it come w/ 205/55r16's? that's thenormal 16" size.. if so, go with a 215/45r17... 17's are better looking, you wont lose a lot of ride quality, and you don thave to wory aout upgrading the brakes.. aftermarket 17's are normally actually lighter than the factory style 16's... i KNOW on my subaru, my prodrive 17's are lighter than my stock 16's... on that car, i'd go w/a gun metal or black rim.. more likely a gun metal though.. maybe w/ a polished lip.. probably about a 7 or 10 spoke.. that's just my oppinion though.. but i say definately go w/ 17's

I think that is what i'll do, 18 may be too big well not too big but too much.........and gun metal is the color i wanted to go with anyway, since i think it will match my car the best..........
