Question Lowering springs

Is the anyone from massachusetts, specifically, near boston, who knows where to go to get lowering springs for 2006 Civic Ex Sedan? If so, where, and which springs?

your best bet is going to be online, teins, comptech, my persoannl preference for springs is eibach, with the eibach camber kits, which you can find on tirerack.com!

You need to consider what you want and consquences. You can lower the car to the max for looks and handling but the trade off is convenience and ride. The lower the car, the harsher the ride. Eibach does sell suspension kits but dunno whether it's available for '06 Civics. But more importantly to me, is the fact that you'll bottom out the car over speed humps, etc. So, you'll have to drive real slow, figure out ways to avoid speed humps or even avoid certain places coz you'll get stuck. This is why my wife will kill me if I lower her car. She didn't like the aerokit since it made the car look lower (though if you were to measure, there is a tiny fraction of an inch less clearance with the kit).

Ive got the eibach pro-kit springs and the hfp aero kit, i have not bottomed out or scraped once, and I live in michigan the worse roads in the country, every drive way is at almost a 30 degree grade.
Pro-kits dont lower as much as the sportlines but they are stiffer and handle a lot better and theres less than a half inch difference in height mod, go with the pro-kits

The roads are not the big problem, its all those speed humps in parking lots especially in big shopping centers and malls. They have some speed humps in Hilo that are sooo high that I simple avoid them coz I've gotten stuck or have had a bad scrape (you get worried when the hump has a lot of scars on them). The other hassle I forgot to mention is wheel stops. I have the Eibach Prokit in my Alty so I know this will happen. I have the scrapes under my chin spoiler, chasis and muffler to prove it .

Anyway, I got the Prokit in my Altima because it doesn't lower the car as much as the sportlines but both will cause a harsher ride.

well no ibe lowers their car for a more comfortable ride, its for looks and handleing, i have had the pro-kits on my 99 si, my 02 si, and now my 06, never once have scraped over speed bumps and i got over them everyday, just slow down enough and you will be alright, besides their are regualtions on how hi speed bumps can be here in michigan they have to be under 3 inches and they have to be at leasy 6 inches wide.

i've heard some people w/ the hfp suspension kit, lowers a little less than an inch i think, and doesn't void anything etc. and thats a complete kit, so no worries about accelerated wear like when u just get springs. do what u think man (drop it like its hot) ahaha man i just had to say that.....yea sorry

I am going to get the facorty performance springs from Honda. Supposed to only drop it about .5-.75 of an inch. I just want to stiffen things up a bit and minimize how low I drop the car. After looking around for a while it seems to be the best offer for me. And the price is not bad either. Springs, shocks, labour and taxes comes to $1600 CDN.

Obviously, speed hump regulations vary from city to city. At 3-inches I would have no problems either, but in the city of Hilo we have no regulations for speed hump height/width or how many may be installed on private property. As the head of engineering, I should know. So we have humps 5-6 inches tall in shopping centers. All I'm saying is you need to consider these factors before you buy or pick a lowering kit as it may or may not make a difference to you. I chose the Prokit and not the Sportlines coz I knew I would have a ground clearance problem.

Well Yea And The Pro-kit Is A Much Better Kit For Handeling.

I Would Strongly Dis Advise The Hfp Springs.
I Work For Honda And We Have Always Had Problems With The Macpherson Struts That Are On Em From The Factory, Ive Seen Quite A Few New Civics Need Struts Within 20k.
I Was Curious Then If The Hfp Struts Were Still Made By Macpherson, Since Macphersons Are Such Trash, And Honda Would Not Even Disclose The Information Of Who Makes Them To Their Own Dealers.
