as dumb as you might think this sounds... make sure you've got the front, and weren't accidentally sent the rear, make sure you have everything oriented in the right direction (the left mount is on the left tower, the right is on the right tower, etc...)
I just got the Ractive strut bar for my CiviC and it did take some time getting it perfectly fit on the car. First I got it seated properly without tightening all the bolts up too tight. Next I spaced all the threads evenly with the "main" bolt. I closed the hood to see if it fit and it did. Next I tightned everything up so it was very stiff and solid. I'd have someone else take a look at the bar with you because, it should fit perfect. I noticed in your username it says you have an EX. I have an LX and im pretty sure that that strut bar only fits across an engine bay for a 1.7L. It should also fit Integras too I believe. I'm gonna do some more reasearch on it now.
There is no specifactions saying that it only fits the LX model. Just 2001-Up Honda Civics and 2001-Up Acura 1.7EL. I'd play around with it some more or maybe have someone else take a look at it. Once you get it in and tight you'll be very happy. I noticed a pretty drastic difference in the handleling of the car around sharp turns and corners. The car is alot more nibble around corners. I got my Ractive Strut Bar for 33$ off Sounddomain.com. It a great "bang for your buck" mod.
Add washers and longer bolts to your hood mount so then your hood sits up higer alowing cold air flow over the back of th emotor too... Simple trick to help cool the intak emanifold off and gain clearnce :-)

those AE's have it done for a reason... all he wanted to know was how to make his front strut bar work.. not how to force air into his engine bay.. and besides its a civic not a drifting machine like those... and if u are going to show something why not show your own car like my weekday driver here

Hey Spider... it's great that you've got the Benz now and all, but seriously, it's getting old that its your comeback everytime someone disagrees. Its cool that you've got it and all, but just give it a rest.
Thats nice.... Im not really into benz.... since everyone including there moms drive them here in cali... Especially the glendal armenia community if you know the glendale area...
My daily driver is the civic... My Datusn 510 is my weekend drift machine that eats Touge for breakfast....
Personally i think Benzs are ugly... You should of gotten an Audi

It reduces the flex that unibody cars are notorious for. by reducing flex and body roll, the car sticks to the road better. By reducing chasis flex and body roll it reduces weight transfer during cornering, allowing for less centrifigul force being exerted that the tires have to compensate for.

or else i would expect every car out there to have all sorts of air bags & performance suspension parts "standard".
