Pics/Review of JDM ITR Steering wheel
I have a DC5 ITR wheel installed in my EM2.
You'll notice a big difference in weight, feel as well as looks.
The stock steering wheel will weigh 7.2lbs. The JDM will weigh apprx 4.8lbs. It's roughly 1.25" smaller in diameter and there's 3 spokes compared to 4.
I advise that you get a USDM if possible because the JDM version uses a single stage airbag system while the US utilizes a dual stage. The JDM's airbag will work with the USDM SRS system but you will get a red SRS light on your dash. Just like how people have reset their SRS light on the thread is how you get it to go away. But you will have to give up cruise control options if you choose the JDM and if you can source the USDM EP3 steering wheel, it will be just like the DC5 ITR except that it doesn't have a red center cap and it will have power steering options.
Oh by the way, if you go JDM, it's going to be somewhat irreversible. The USDM system has 4 wires (2 red, 2 yellow) and the JDM has 2 (1 red, 1 yellow). The shop that I got my wheel from cut the USDM wiring and sautered them together with the JDM.
The benefits are astounding. I got some oohs and ahhs of course. But for performance, it responds much better during cornering as it requires less motion to turn giving you a more precise steering feel. It's lighter in weight and it makes <15mph navigation easier because the lower weight glides and doesn't demand too much effort.
You will notice a big difference when it comes to viewing your guages. Because it's smaller in diameter, the top part of the speedometer and tachometer will be chopped from view. So that means I don't see the 4 on the tach or the 70 on the speedometer. But that's not something to worry about because if your eyes follow the needle, then you are not in any danger of mis shifting.
If you do get the wheel, good luck and PM me if you have any questions.

Hmm... I don't see the difference between the two of your wheels... The SI wheel is the same as the DC5? (except for the red sticker of course) Are they both my MOMO? Looks nice guys... I remember driving an RSX and man, steering is so much quicker and responsive compared to our shitty wheels...
