installing kaminari side skirts and rear lip
Anyone who installed their own kaminari side skirts and rear lip, how did you keep them on. I installed my front bumper today and that was surprisingly easy, but I didn't have time to do the rest. Now i know to use the double side tape, but do you use the screws also in the bag that came with it cuz that's what i figured. Where do you screw the screws...like where on the side skirts and where on the rear lip...cuz i'm lost...

yes you screw in the screws, you wouldnt want them falling off. put the side skirt and the rear lip on to see if it fits. then check where the holes for drilling are. there should be dimples on the car and on the rear bumper. drill into those.

Take off all of the double sided tape that comes on them an put on your own (you will thank me later). For extra support, I have a few extra screws that i drilled in on the sides (below the middle of the sideskirts and inside that little circular opening on the side near the rear tire). THe passenger side door on the coupe is a little lower than the driver's side so that is what most people that install sides have problems with, the passenger side skirt.... Once you have completely covered everything in 3m double-sided tape you are good to go. It helps to have sanded down the sides a little to fir ur car before painting, if not hope for the best. Take your time and have someone help you...that is the best advice i can give.
I have had this kit on for a year, and I love the way it looks. I live in Kansas and the weather affects this thing like crazy! In the winter I would get stuck in the car due to the cold weather causing the side skirts to expand and rise above the door. I immediately had the person who helped me put mine on....which cost a lot in the first place due to not using the screws or tape that come in the package along with paint and more..but anyways, I have added pieces to the kit underneath to where the damn thing can't move and have used stronger molding by 3M to also keep these suckers from going anywhere. Depending on where you live...this could happen to you if your weather is anything like wonderful Kansas weather. Ask around, I fell in love with this kit when it came out and nobody knew of anything bad or any key pointers to let me in on....anything that you could find out before it might happen to you is always a plus. But all in all, I still love it, no matter what I went through to get it to this point!
