How hard is it to remove gauges?

Once you have the gauge cluster sitting in your hands...how hard is it to switch the gauges?
Im buying new gauges and ive already removed my gauge cluster before, it takes me a few minutes! so im just wondering HOW to remove the gauges, and How hard it is?

Do you actually remove the gauges or do the new ones just slide over top of the old ones?

Most replacements just lay over the top of the stock guage covers. This is the case for pretty much all of the indiglos I've looked at.

you just lay them over the top of them, the stock gauges cant be removed.

DON'T EVEN TRY TO REMOVE THE PINS!!!! can't remove them. if it breaks, it's HISTORY. i broke mine and i have to replace the unit

ok, to install indiglo gauges, it will be easier if you do remove the pins, but i wouldnt remove them because u will mess up te calbiration, i dont know i light the stock light over the indiglo,i would just leave them stock

Dude..just check out the DIY. I made detail instructions plus pics on how to do it. Would've answered all your questions on this thread and the other one you made a week ago.
