Hey everyone, the other day one of the studs on my drivers side front broke off. So I buy a replacement from honda and go to a brake place to get them to replace it, and they tell me that another lug nut isn't coming loose and that another stud on that same rim was going to break off. So I go to honda again and buy a second stud. Now, I figured that it can't be that hard to do it myself since I know how to take my brakes apart. I take off the brake caliper, disc, and basically am left with the front hub that the studs are sticking out of. I have no idea how to remove hub though. Removing the spindle nut in the middle doesn't work in removing the hub. I bought a service manual from a local store, but it was for a 2000 civic, and I figure that both years would be similar. I am still not sure, but the only thing that would have to be removed on the 2000 civic for the front hub to be removed would be the circlip, but looking at mine, I don't see anything similar to the picture. Could you all please help me, my car is sitting without a tire in my garage and I need to drive it soon.

remove that nut in the center.. i think it's like a 32mm or something huge like that. then remove the 2 screws on the hub and it'll come off. you may have to take a hammer to it to get it loose. after you remove the brakes of course
how much was the stud? i went to my honda dealership to get one, it was only $1!

they were $5 for each. Are you sure your not talking about the disc itself, there are two screws that hold it on, but the disc itself is not connected to the hub. I don't recall any screws on the hub though. I have already removed the huge bolt, 32mm according to you, and the hub still doesn't budge. If you are talking about the hub and I am just mistaken, then do I just need to hit it with a hammer all around to loosen it?
