Swapping out gauge clusters?

Hey everyone i'm new here, been reading around, and finally got around to register :0
I just bought a 2003 Civic DX about 2 months ago. Anyways My question is, i dont know if you all have seen the gauge cluster in the DX which doesn't have a Tach, but i was wondering if i could swap it with a LX tach or a EX, anyone know if that's possible? If not could i buy a aftermarket tach and install one? will there be wire connections for my car? since it doesn't have a tach now? Just curious.....

It would be cheaper to buy an aftermarket Tach you can find them all the time on EBAY. Its easier and cheaper unless your going for the OEM look.

Mirage, there's a difference in the previous 7th gen clusters and the 2003 7th gen clusters. If you are going to be buying from ebay, make sure you buy a 2003 tach. The 2003 style instrument cluster is different from the past ones, and do not just "plug & play".

so let me repeat it: do not buy a 2001 or 2002 instrument cluster for your 2003, unless you are good with wiring,
