Racing Pedals

I bought some racing pedals for my car...I can put the break and clutch pedals on but I can't seem to figure out how to get my gas pedal off to put the new pedal on. Anybody got any ideas or know how to take the pedal off? Any ideas please!

The gas pedal is plastic... it doesn't come off. Just drill right through it in the 2nd groove from the left side of the pedal... any further over and you'll go through the stalk.

The metal rod that connects the pedal to the pivot point and the throttle cable.

For safety reasons DO put at least a couple of screws. I almost had an accident after I got my pedals "professionally" installed, after one screw fell off and my feet started slipping.

I remember the installer drilled 4 holes on the edges of the pedal and installed the new one on top (only gas, the others have a plastic cover).

Mine are sparco racing pedals. On the gas pedal there are 3 holes to put screws (one in middle, top, and bottom) But two of them are too high up becuz of that metal rod...so i'll prolly only be able to use the bottom screw. I'll have to drill however like the clutch and brake pedals. So I'll just drill one hole and put the racing pedal over the stock pedal and figure out something if it doesn't hold in place very good...i'm sure i can find somethin to do the job

yeah most all the sparco and mom pedals you have to drill the accelerator in. im just gonna get some obx type r pedals...much easier and cheaper and they still look cool

ok dude... this isn't rocket science. I already told you how to do it. Look at the gas pedal... there are vertical grooves in it. Count 2 grooves in from the left side (closest to the brake pedal. Measure the distance between the holes in the pedal and drill the holes in the gas pedal. You'll have to drill them A LITTLE oversize because the plastic won't drill cleanly, so leave yourself a little room or you'll be hammering the screws through. You won't hit the stalk and it works perfectly....
Looky Here...

I had bought the OBX Type-R Pedals but had problems installing the accelerator pedal because it was too big to screw down to the pedal. Anyone else have any problems with this?
