cd player
why does my cd player keep skipping? i have used those cleaning kits for the lasers but it still messes up? i guess it doesn't really matter though since i am getting a new head in a couple of weeks, but i would like to fix it if i could. thanks!

Rep Power: 0 Are the cd's that your playing scratched up really bad?? If you relocated your headunit and didnt attach it to the car well enough it might be moving around more then it sould be causing it to skip. what kind of cd player do u have now?

Rep Power: 0 hey there fletchman04. i have the exact same problem. i can only attribute it to two things: 1. the angle at which the head unit is mounted in the dash, and/or 2. the age of my cd player. it's a clarion drx 8275 that i purchased new in 1996. it has been used every day (almost) since it was purchased. i had ZERO problems with it when it was in my altima. although, it did sit perfectly straight in that car. i am afraid to buy a new head and still have the same problem.
