Your Synchros might be shot. Id bring it to the dealer and let them worry about it. Same sorta thing happened to me but I just broke my shifter. If you have a Revo shifter make sure it isnt broken.

MangoEX should not be trusted
Before you go and change your tranny, I would (if it is an Auto) I would check your trans fluid, and second your solenoids could be sticking (due to gummed up oil) and would not allow a surge of oil pressure due to sticking valves... happened to me in another car awhile back, although it didn't entirely prevent second gear, it just made it a lot harder. Trannys are really sensitive to bad oil conditions (autos more so)

if it is an 5 speed and you do have a short shifter i'd take it off asap so i would be covered under warranty.. if it's auto, then just take that biatch right in.. sorry if this isn't much help.

Yea basically what he said.
If your RPM band jumps a lot by itself then it's the torque convertor. If your shifting is gettin nasty it's the trns fluid (which I kno it's not if it's only the 1-2 gears). Basically it can be the syncros that are shot.

I don't know exactly what you are asking; common sense would tell you to bring it to a Honda dealership.
Take off all aftermarket products that envolve this like a short shifter, possibly intake jus because you dont want them pissin you off.

If you are an agressive driver or do any type of power shifting, you have burned up the syncros.

This is a common problem with hondas and Honda Dealerships know about it.

They will tell you that they have reports showing that the syncros get
messed up between 1st and second also 2nd and 3rd. They will say that
it does not fall under warrenty. So, you have to play stupid and say you drive your car like grandma and that your car is covered under factory warrenty. The dealership does not take the loss of replacing your tranny, but they do lose man hours to fix it.

Most likeley honda will not have another tranny waiting for you, so you will have to be without your car for a week.

Good luck....this happened to me to at 11,000 miles. Even with my aftermarket parts, short shifter, intake, headers, etc.... they did not once question it, since it has nothing to do with making the tranny fail.

I'm assuming you have a 5 speed, anyway, as stated earlier, your synchros are probably messed up, have you tried double clutching to get it in gear, cause without synchro's that's what you'd have to do. You need to post more information, such as how you drive, it could be a number of things, if you drive it hard, it's the synchros, if not, it's a manufacturing defect.
