need tunning help!
i have a 2001 DX model...
Here is what i have done so far:
1- put on smaller tires...from the stock size to R14 185 60 good years.
2- shaved 45 thou. off the cylider head.
3- made and installed an AEM style CAI with PVC
4- installed an Unorthodox underdirve pulley
5- installed an AEM true time sprocket (tested at 0 degrees, then advanced it to 4 degrees and tested there)
6- i had the exhaust ports of the head polished (improves exhaust flow)
7- i hade the the intake and exhaust valves cut with double angle (speeds up the flow in and out of the cylinders)
8- i adjusted the valve lash to 8 thou. on the intake side and 10 thou. on the exhaust
9- installed an aero speed header and a cat less 2" exhasut straight through to the stock muffler
OBSERVATIONS:
1. i have an autometer pyrometer...i have noticed that our cars run VERY rich (highest temp so far 700 deg)
2. the best ET and MPH i have been able to get so far is 16.32 @ 84.97 mph (i average 16.35 @ 84.63mph)
*note: before having polished the exhaust port, installed the pulley or the sprocket the car had run a best of 16.39 @ 84.23 mph (but that was only once
...the car would stay in between mid 16.4's and low 16.6's
3. i refuse to beleive that after every thing i did that the car's performance would stay basicaly the same
HELP ME TUNE MY CAR!!!!
I AM OPEN TO ANY SUGGESTIONS, COMMENTS OR QUESTIONS

What he is trying to say is that your car won't be fast unless you swap and turbo the k20 engine, especially a DX with no VTEC. First of all you should not use PVC for an intake because it releases chemicals when it gets too hot and it might not withstand the heat. Get some 2" exhaust piping and cut it to make it fit, using connectors if you must. You might want to look around and see what others are running with their cam gear. If you want a better time the only thing you can do is to give it some "go fast juice." the D series block needs some more time for companies to make parts, but I feel it will never get as fast as the B series blocks.

I never said that.. I do agree get a real intake though PVC pipe sux. A d17 can be made to be a 'quick' car. Fast is all relative. Just to show this I rode in a new 250z tuesday and thought it was very slow.

Whats with the smaller width tires? Get some 195 or 205 60 series tires that grip well. Better grip...less wheel spin...better time.
smaller tires measn for one rotation, the moment of force is larger due to teh smaller radius, it theoretically improves acceleration but harms topspeed....no biggie, the car can go over 100 easily, you dont need that topspeed.
its why you see true honda autox cars with 13" diameter 9" wide rims in the front, with a narrow tire stretched wide on it. reduce the working diameter as far as possible.
