ECG o2 SIM at ECU CONNECTION
hey guys. tomorrow i will be trying to hook up my ECG o2 sim directly to my ECU. i have looked over the ECU wiring diagrams on this site and have found all the wires except the secondary o2 INPUT wire at the ECU. is there any1 that can i help me? i have found 4 sensor input wires on the diagram but i rather not cut those wires and get lucky on locating the correct wire. i figure i might have 25% chance on locating the wire on my 1st try. I will post up the correct wiring once i locate the correct wires.
I posted almost the exact same question a couple days ago. I think the second O2 wire is white/red at the ecu on the top plug. Not too sure though. If you find out let me know. I hooked mine up and the car wouldn't start, but I'm pretty sure I had the wrong O2 wire. The car ran fine after I disconnected the sim. I think what I'm going to do is just run the O2 wire through the engine bay. Either way good luck and keep us posted.

i emailed ECG regarding the wiring diagram included with the o2 SIM. they will supply me with the color of the wires needed for the install. i will keep you guys posted. all teh wires are correct except the o2 INPUT.
I hooked up my O2 sensor output through the engine bay today and so far no check engine light. Everything else is hooked up at the ECU. I was so happy when my car actually cranked up with the simulator installed.

I ran all the wires to the ECU except the O2 wire which I ran to the black wire of the second O2 sensor in the engine bay. Remember that the O2 simulator is sending out the voltage that the black wire is supposed to send out when the catalytic converter is there, so you have to cut the black wire and run the O2 simulator output there, but not leading back to the sensor. That way there is only one wire going through the engine bay instead of five. As long as you have the correct wires and good connections, just reconnect the battery (which you did remember to disconnect before right?) and you should be good to go. Just remember also that your computer is having to relearn your fuel maps so let your car idle for about 10 min. email me if you have any more questions.

I just installed my ECG o2 Simulator that i purchased from John at http://www.lakeeffectperformance.com
It hooks up straight to the ECU. The ECG sim cost me $46.50 shipped and arrived within 3 business days. The install only took 5 minutes and basicly consisted of four T taps and cutting the o2 INPUT Wire & hooking up the o2 SIM wire from the ECG Simulator. Contact John at Lake Effect and he will take care of you for all your wiring questions. He is highly recommended.
