You need to remove your sail pannel (the panel that hold the tweeters in an ex) I removed my door pannels but I cant remeber if its nessesary. Then the mirrors are held in by three nuts, that youl have to replace w/ screws when you put your m3's in. I used a volt meter to determine wich wire is was wich on the stock mirror controlls and then spliced them into their corasponding wires on the m3's. As far as the lights I havent hooked them up yet, Im going to wait untill I remove my doors to repaint my car.
I advise that you check out the mirrors closely before installing them. I've had mine on for a few months now and I"m starting to get sick of the way they look. The driver's side mirror actually sticks out further than the passanger side mirror. Make sure you check to see if one is longer than the other. They look great, but when you look at the car head on you can clearly see that the driver side is sticking out more and it looks like crap in my opinion. Just thought I"d give you a heads up before you wasted time installing them. I'm actually uninstalling mine tonight if it's not too cold. I'm sick of thinking about it. The stock ones look cool anyway.
