Final Turbo Parts List

Last time I posted my parts list there were still some items that were TBD. But now everything is fully spec'd.

Here's the final list:

Mitsubishi 16G, internally gated
Mitsubishi BOV
O2 Housing
Turbo Oil and Water Lines (black rubber)
Misc Flanges and Gaskets
GReddy e-Manage Fuel + Ignition Controller
SFP D17a2 Exhaust Manifold (+ support mount)
Down Pipe (mild-steel, BBQ painted black)
Ceramic Coating (Manifold, Turbine, O2 Housing)
18" x 6" x 2.75" Griffen Top-to-Bottom IC (+ mild-steel pipes, painted black)
Clamps and Couplings
Spark Plugs (NGK Iridium colder plugs)
Hi-flow Cat
Fuel Injectors (2 x 450cc DSM injectors)
Fuel Pump (Denso)
Flex Pipe (2.5", stainless-steel, braided)
SPA Techniques Boost + EGT Dual-Digital Gauge
GReddy Profec B Electronic Boost Controller
Homemade "Missing Link" MAP Sensor Bypass Valve
K&N Cone Filter
Heat shields (if necessary)
Oil, Antifreeze, Water Wetter

So the parts are being ordered. Looks like the longest wait will be the custom manifold from South Florida Performance.

Please let me know if you have any comments/concerns about the parts I've chosen, or if you think I'm missing something.

Thanks!

Nick, isn't my list pretty "exact" already?

This is the highest level of detail that I have -- I think it's good enough.

As for prices... I don't know exactly how much each part will cost. But roughly, I'm looking at about $5000 in parts alone.

FYI: I'm not building this thing myself. I've entrusted the project to a guy I know who builds rally cars and turbos for fun. I give him the money, and he orders the parts. Perhaps later on once the parts come in, I can then give you the level of detail/pricing that you want.

Hope that helps.

johnyblaze take your list and throw it in the fireplace. the parts that you are getting compared to the amount of boost you will be able to run is not worth it at all. especially 5000$ in parts alone.

Looks pretty good. Check out my "Turbo DIY". Just click on "My DIY's" in my sig and look for it. I have a list of parts there that are adding up to less than $2,500 and they're pretty comprehensive. A little more scrounging will yield better prices than I listed. It's possible to make a 200rwhp turbo D17 with less than $3,000.

C2i0v0i1c: That sounds like a hell of a list. Pretty expensive. Definately interested in the outcome and in the details though.
