Rep Power: 0 PAINT FOR HEADERS
okay people..
my headers just came in.. and i wanna paint it flat black.. any ideas? brand?
i have the ceramic coated headers..
i know high temp engine paint might work.. but headers get reallly hot... so i am concerned about the durability of the paint.

Rep Power: 0 OEM shield only works with oem header. There is no aftermarket header that will fit underneath it or that has a hole for the bottom bolt. It would rattle like crazy if it did fit.
Goto Lowes, Home Depot, etc., and get some high-temp paint for barbecue grills. You could try that anyway. Also, try an automotive parts store..duh! LOL...
I don't know though, the exhaust manifold gets a wee-bit HOT! You may need to consult NASA...
Lastly, please post a review or some sort of response concerning performance after installation...pretty please!

Rep Power: 0 the high temp paint doesnt work very well. a kid at my school painted his red, and one 30 min. trip to school burnt it off. that was using 1500 degree paint.

Rep Power: 0 Well .... i would just try to powder coat it black or whatever you want. My friend used red high temp thermal paint of his headers, and it hasn't come off. So you could try that if you wanted too. You can get that kind of paint almost anywhere.

Rep Power: 0 well... i already got estimates for powder coating. they said it will cost about $45-60 for high temp powder coating that will resist 300 degrees. but also.. i just got off the phone with this sheet metal company. they said it will cost me about $40 to custom bend aluminum to make a heat sheild. i think i will go with the heat shield instead. i'll let you guys know what i will go with. i'll post pics as well once i am done.
