Color burned off bulbs!

I bought a set of colored bulbs for my liscense plate. They were cheap for a couple bucks... Well, I checked it tonight and one of the bulbs is now white!!! The other one is still blue. What the heck happened??? Did the color burn off or something? I installed them with my bare hands, so I'm sure I got oil on them. It it was in the freezing weather, so I'm sure my hands were dry and pretty unoily. What happened??? Did the oil from my hands do it? Grrr.

You're gonna have to shell out a little more cash for better bulbs. Make sure you get PIAA's or something. Bulbs that are made out of glass. The one you have is probably plastic and that's why the color burned off. The PIAA buls are colored glass. Won't burn. This happened to me too a couple of months ago. Just get the good bulbs.
