Idle speed off

My car uesed to idle at abopt 700-725. Now it idles betwwen 500 and 750. I have know idea what it could be. My car doesn't die but the idle just gets real low and then it seem slike it catches itself. My car is also idleing rough for some reason. It is no longer smooth. I have 23,000 miles and this problem just happened about 2500 miles ago. i have an Injen SRI and TSuedo exhaust with the resonator removed. I took it to the dealer and they won't touch it unless I take off the intake and put the stock one back on. But it was fine when i first got the intak which was at 500 miles until now. Thenm the dealer wants to charge me 70 dollars just to look at it even though it is under warrenty. C an someone please help, i dont know what to do and this idle is really annnoying,. Thanks

I don't really think that there is a big problem with it idleing a little lower, unless it starts to stall. Either way I would put back on the stock intake at least and take it to the dealer and have them look at it.

Thats about right I think for the idle speed, mine sits about there once it has warmed up.
You should have the dealer look at it though, I dont see why they would make a big deal about the Intake, it should make no difference, they would have to prove that the Intake is causing or related to the prob, but just to keep the peace and to have the car looked after you might as well do it.

Good Luck

ak can only hope to improve
This might not help you, but different oils give you different idle rpm's.

With Honda oil I idle 750
With others oils the idle is 550-800

thats happening to me too...it idles really low sometimes almost to the point of stalling and then it catches itself and starts idling at a normal range. Not sure what this is, let me know if you find out...

sounds like it could be a bunch of things. Spark plugs and fuel filter come to mind, but just have the dealer look at it.

Sounds like the dealer is being ghey. an aftermarket intake doesnt void your warranty. I had aftermarket intake and exhaust when my trans went out and they didnt question anything, a simple "precautionary" visit to prevent from something more problematic happening would be completely warranted, regardless of stock or aftermarket intake.
