anyone want ==swaybar endlink brackets for LX/DX?

My uncle and i are going to make some for myself. He has alot of box tubing sitting in his garage. He makes custom trailers professionally so he knows a thing or two about fabricating. Is anyone interested in these brackets? Read more info in DriftR's DIY: 2001 DX LX sway bar. We can probably make a batch of them for a fair price.

EDIT: Ok in a few weeks when i get all the parts in for my rsx swaybar i'm heading over to good ole uncle's house to get the brackets fabricated and weld them on...i will take pics of them after they are made and when they are welded on...i'll tell him that people are interested but it's completely up to him if he wants to do it or not...i'll nag him about it tho

I'm interested too, but it would depend on how they look like. If they look better than in DriftR's DIY, then I'm down. I can make my own, but for $25 shipped I think I would just buy yours.

Get the progress adapter kit! I ordered it from Tornactive.com they're having it drop shipped from Progress... $119 shipped. Kind of pricey but at least it's researched technology and not some random piece of metal welded on the control arm. I think this may be better. Personal prefence and budget I suppose.

When you are talking about the rear sway from www.tornactive.com, are you talking about this one???

Progress Suspension Anti-Roll Bars, that's $209.00 for 2001 CIVIC's (EXCEPT EX)...

Looks pretty cool though.

well on the ex's and 02 lx's and ex's honda uses this "random peice of metal welded on the control arm"

look at this pic...this is off a 01 ex i believe...note the bracket stitch welded to the control arm...

Yes. That's the part. Very cool, and will make a gigantic difference in performance considering I do not have one at all. It'll make a nice combination with the KONIS. *rubs hands together*

By the way the part # is 65.1006 from Progress Auto. You'll most likely have to special order it and actually put effort into ordering it because it's not in any of catalogues yet and it was just released a couple of days ago. Tornactive can get them though.

Definitely, but that's OEM. That's welded to some sort of specification. If you just fabricate a piece and try to weld in the rght place you're not going to get the same performance advantages. The Progress piece is at least researched technology and is most likely designed with OEM specs in mind.

Edit : Maybe I'm just biased to the easier way out. : )

i'm just a little iffy on what angle progress is approaching the problem at...i mean how could such bracketry be attached without welding? anything like that just being bolted on is kind of wierd i think...a weld is much stronger than a bolt...but maybe its a new lower control arm..who knows?...take some pics when you get it!!!

Yeah, I need to see whay it looks like and how it attaches. I think a bracket that's welded on will be stronger and lighter and cheaper. The only thing that the Progress mounting kit has going for it is... Well, we technically don't even know if it's a bolt-on yet. That's the only thing though.

Yes, it is a bolt on. I suppose you could weld it on if you wanted to make it stronger, but that may not be necessary. We'll see...
