Need help please, 6 color indiglo, Z3 fenders
Hi,
New to the board and new to customizing cars as well. Since the summer I've started to modify my 2001 Civic EX coupe. Tint, wheels, halo projectors, clear tails, front grill. My question is this: I installed the 6 color indilgo gauges, well there supposed to slide over the stock ones. There doesn't seem to be enough clearance between them and the needles. The tach and speedo seems to rub on the gauges, making them stick. Has anyone else had this problem? I even tried using double sided tape, and taping them down, but in a few spots they still stick. BTW, I took of the white face gauges and know my needles don't work properly. They are broke, the tach especially, it sticks and wont move past 3000. Anyone else screw up there needles putting the gauges on? Please help! The car is still under warranty, I took it in today, I didn't tell them I messed with it. I don't think we were careful enough when we installed the gauges. I know we moved both needles past 70mph, and 3000 on the tach. The fuel and temp needles work fine though.
Secondly, I'm looking into getting the Z3 fenders. Everywhere I've seen them the fender has a cut out for the door molding. On my 2 door, I don't have door modings, just a thin line that runs about 1/3rd up from the bottom across the door. Am I making this clear or just confusing you? I would appreciate any feedback and help with this as I'm new to this hobby and don't have a lot of peolpe to help me out. Thanks for any info.
Justin

i don't know anything about the gauges, but for the fenders make sure you're lookig at the ones for 2001+civics. I haven't seen any with cutouts for side mouldings....I have a set of aerogear z3 fenders, they're pretty nice
Tell me what you don't like about yourself....

Actually i didn't have the problem but a friend of mine did it's cause the gauge bezel doesn't hold it down in certain areas causing the needle to rub. After you have the gauges in place just use a couple dabs of super glue on them and it'll hold down tight and you'll be set. hope that helps any other questions pm me

Thanks for the info guys, Like those VIS fenders, never seen those before. When I do a search on ebay for "2001 honda civic" those don't come up, but i'll be ordering them soon.
Has anyone screwed up the gauges besides me? I didn't think moving them would ruin them, I know they have little syncro motors, I must have ruined them.
