removing carpet in trunk

Hi all,
I was trying to put on a rear strut bar for my 01 EX 4dr. and the carpet just stuck there. I was unable to remove all the clips on the carpet and it's in my way. How can i get to the nuts? How can i remove all the clips so that the carpet wouldn't be in the way while i am installing the bar??

Thankx.

If not I'll run outside and take a look at my trunk for you.

the strut mounts for the 7thgen civic are right behind the seats. That part of the carpet will just lift away. I just installed my rear strut bar. The other part of the carpet towards the back of the car is hard to get off. Put the seats down and just lift away the carpet behind them. it will come right off. Shoot me a PM or IM if you need anymore help. You will have to cut the carpet a little when you are done with the install.
