Where do the wires from the interior light go?

Does anyone know the whereabouts of the wires that trigger the dome light to turn on? I think there's somekind of trigger that can tell when the doors are open, but my car is at the dealer today, so I can't look at it. I have a DIY in mind, but I need to know where the wires to the dome light come from. Is the door trigger in the door or in the panel? (Keeping my fingers crossed for in the door). Oh... one last question, how does the inner door panel come off?

AFlyer is an unknown quantity at this point
the trigger is in the door frame, about halfway up, rubber covered button. to get the door panel off, check the DIY section under front speaker replacement.

Shoot.... Do you know if the wires to the dome light go from that switch down to the floor or up above the headliner? Or how to get access to the switch (guessing the panel under the back window has to come off.:tdown

i'm guessing they go up into the headliner, and to get access, what do you mean? to access the wires that go INTO the switch? for that i would imagine just pull the rubber off the switch, see if you can pull the switch out. what exactly are you doing anyway?

DIY Door lights. Like on every other car. The red lights in the corner of the door that turn on so people can see that your door is open.
