DIY: Spark Plug Install
LOL
I don't give a damn what anybody says, my Civic ran smoother after I put in the Iridium plugs. There is no doubt in my mind that they work better than the platinum plugs that come in the oem in the car.

since we are on the subject of spark plugs, will silver have more electrical and thermal conductivity than platinum and iridium?

By the way. I traded for a Lexus IS 300 and it comes standard with Iridium plugs. So I would have to say that if they are good enough for Lexus, they certainly ought to be good enough for a Civic.

Secondly, who cares? The same argument can be said for 90% of the things we do to our cars. Did you REALLY need a body kit? Probably not. Did you REALLY need to swap a Type-S motor? naahh.
The point here is we like working on the car and personalizing it. Go take a chill pill.

You don't need a torque wrench because you tighten the plug till it stops and then just give it 3/4 turn to seat it.

Everyone has told me hondas like NGK. That's what two dealership tech guys have also told me. And the stock plugs are duoble platinum, which technically are better than iridium because both electrodes are platinum. With iridium, one is nickel. Iridiums are still good plugs, though. Buy a torque wrench so you don't mess up your engine like I probably did.
Denso was the first one to come out with irridium and my car had Denso platinum for stock. Get a set of one or the other and if you don't like them, get the others. It's not that big of a deal.
huwa..
damn, now there's a debate...... NGK or DENSO in my heart.....
hmmmmmm..
anyway, gearbox...u said we got double platinum?? man...since when? is this true?
NGK....DENSO....NGK....DENSO....NGK....DENSO....NG K....DENSO....NGK....DENSO....

I've heard of the Plus 4's little tips breaking off and going into the motor. I don't know if it's a myth but it could happen. Other than that I like those plugs, they make some cars rip.
P.S. I have Denso's!
