The final stall speed of the car was 2800 rpm, a 200 rpm improvement over stock. Note that Honda's electronic governors prevent the transmission from spinning up too far, but that the benefits are felt on the road.
anyway to take the governors out?

is the torque even increased? my guess would be you mainly get quicker shifts. it would also probably benefit people with nos or turbo on their autos[hr]

i just called.. you would have to send in your torque converter... they'll do it for $1,000(he said he'll do it for 700 for me, i dont even know the guy). if you want the install to be done for you its going to be $1,450 plus the $1,000.

[hr]Automatic transmissions are often viewed as the red-headed stepchildren of automotive performance. They suck power from an engine, don't provide the control of a manual, and are generally looked down upon.[hr]

what exactly is the stall speed? does this mean when i brake torque, i could only rev to 2600 but with this i could rev to 2800? but ya i would like to see the 1/4 time too cause it does give faster shifts and thats mainly where we lose at other then 1st gear.

ya i doubt that extra 200 rpms isnt going to do much but i guess the point of this isnt to get more power/torque but to allow you to use fi efficiently with autos

This looks pretty dumb only 200 rpm higher not much of an increase. On my mom's altima i've brake torqued it to 3,000 rpm.If u want a good launch your gonna have to buy a manual cuz 2800 rpm isnt the best launch.

I don't have time to test it on the track, but i can feel the difference .......... More gas Mileage (i could go 425miles w/ 1 full tank), smoother gear change, better acceleration......
and maybe next month i'll get the JMO Power Steering fluid coolers.

i only get like 250 miles a tank..
what is stall shifting? you mean brake torquing?
brake torquing is holding down the brake real hard and also pushing on the gas, then let go of the brake and floor the gas at the same time... this is done to get a better launch.

I wonder why JMO charges $1000 for their Torque Convertors when Level 10 only charges $500.
Level 10
Is their a huge difference in the quality of their work?
Also for the same price of JMO's TO installed $1400+$1000=$2400, you could get Level 10's whole Transmission Upgrade
Transmission Upgrade
Don't worry, I'm not promoting for anyone...don't know anybody at either place. Just wondering why the huge difference.

Just going through Level 10's website, and I saw this:
Shiftronic
Is it just me, or does that seem really cool for us Automatics.
