Rep Power: 0 Removing windscreen wipers
Does anyone know how to remove the windscreen wipers? I want to paint mine silver/chrome. Of course, I'll be removing the blades off before I paint the wipers. And is this a good/bad idea? Will the paint melt off in the rain or when I wash the car?

Rep Power: 399 The wipers are black to keep them from reflecting the sun in your face. They can be painted (they were the at the factory), but that stuff tends to fade off over time. I don't know that it would be a great idea anyway, they're black to blend into the windshield and the area below it, unless you want them to be noticed...

Rep Power: 0 Well, I think that chrome/silver wipers would be ugly as ghetto. But do what makes you happy. My opinions on wipers are that they are ugly to begin with leg alone making them stand out more than anything else. Good luck to whatever you decide though.
Oh anyway, to remove them just unbolt them. The cover over the bolts should snap right off.
