oem oil filter ?

i ordered some oem oil filters from hada and they sent me part # 15400-PLM-A01, last time i ordered the part # was 15400-POH-305. so i called up hada and spoke to teavor, and he said that honda replaced the old part # 15400-POH-305 with a new part # wich is 15400-PLM-A01. i called up my local dealer to see if indeed its the right filters i got but the service department was already closed, so does anyone know if 15400-PLM-A01 is the correct oil filters i have ?

ok, well honda now has 2 filters! they had a short and fat one which they used on almost everything and now have a skinny long one.
at the honda dealership next to my toyota dealership where i work, i asked the honda techs about this, they told me the factory sends them out with the skinny long ones. but they also said that both will fit, and both will work!!! so dont worry which one u got! and in my opinion the oem filter is the best way to go!

Recommend Mobile's or Amsoil's filters. Anti-drainback valves and best performance. Amsoil's is actually the best, but only marginally better when compaired to Mobile's. Amsoil's filter is roughly 50% more expensive. Up to U.

Disposable parts (filters, plugs, pads, etc...) are not always the best way to go. Remember that Honda sets the parameters. After that, the lowest bidder gets the contract.

Honda had a long skinny filter that came stock on any new civic. Since then, they have changed the filter over to a standard one that they use on all civics as well as the RSX's. If you get stuck, just buy the filter listed for the RSX.

if you're worried about price, go with Bosch.
Bosch costs the same or less than Honda filter,
yet Bosch is made of a synthetic composite while
Honda is a 100% paper filter (crap).

If you're willing to spend the money, then go
with any of the filters these other guys suggested
(Mobil, K&N, Amsoil, etc...)

How much did all that run you? Sounds like it would be a $40+ oil change.
