When you guys say you have a 30% tint, 5% on the back, what do you mean? Is the 5% back the rear windshield or the windows for the back seat?

back usually means the 3 rear windows, front means the driver/passenger side.

"On the back" means windows other than the driver's and primary passenger's. So in a coupe, it would be the rear windshield and the two small triangular windows (rear three). On a sedan, it would be the rear five... the rear windshield, and all rear passenger windows. The fronts are the main driver and passenger windows. The 'eyebrow' is the sunstrip across the top of the windshield. Hope that explains it.

yep, and 35% is the highest you can go legally, most shops can do it "smoke black" which is illegal but they will still do it without a reciept.

i think your confused... the darkness/lightness of the tint goes byt percentage... 5% means 5% of light passes through. 20% means 20% of the light passes through... the lower the percentage, the darker, the higher the precentage the lighter the tint is.
so if someone says they have 35% in the front and 20% in the back, this usually means the driver/passenger side has 35% tint and the rear 3/5(depending on coupe/sedan) are 20%.
