I am thinkin about gettin a engine start button for my car and was wondering if anyone had ever installed one. I want to make it where you put the key in the on postion then press the button instead of turning the key, the reason why is because I have a delsol and I am gonna hide it in the cig lighter spot which has a cover so if some jumped in my car w/ the keys the keys would start the car and the button would be hidden till they lifted the lid if they did @ all.

you can still get the starter motor to turn over with the key...

I am going to cut the wires @ the ignition switch and wire them to the engine start button, i was just wondering if anyone has doen this, I want the button to start the car not the key, that way if someone tried to start my car it wouldn't work unless they lifted the lid and found the button.
