Shaved emblems

well i shaved my emblems but there is one problem i can still see where it said civic on the trunk lid i have washed and waxed the spot already does anyone have any ideas??? or is it just the way its gonna be

use hairdryer more to warm it up!! mine was like that for a few days, over time it goes away.

Good post, I just did that yesterday too. Same problem
I heard people use WD40 to get off the scum. Too lazy to try so far.

Buy Adhesive Remover! its liek 5 bucks for a lil can... 3M adhevsive remover is perfect.. takes it right off, as well as any stickers or unwanted decals

Dilute a little lighter fluid. Dab onto soft rag, rub off adhesive, wash off spot quickly, wax over spot. Viola! Looks like nothing was ever there.

lol all the crap is off i can see civic in brighter red than the rest of the trunk lid how many wahsed its been like 4 already

i had the same situation. here's wut i did. use meguiers scratch x (scratch remover). apply it to the area. works like a charm. also works good on small scratches. costs under $10 for the bottle. hopefully it works the same for you.

When I did mine it was like that for like a week just wax it alot. It will go away you can't even tell there was anything there on mine now.

If you could get a hold of some tar remover and good wax, none of that turtle wax crap. professional wax. wipe the spot with the tar remover, then try to buff the area. it should go right away. hopefully. have fun.
