Where's the computer in the 7th Gen?

Having problems and if I knew where the computer was in our cars I might be able to diagnose it myself with computer codes. Does anybody know where the computer is in our cars? I don't wanna rip apart the dash looking for it. If someone could reply and let me know where it is and possibly some of the diagnostic codes for honda or our cars I'd truly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

The autozone near here will check why your check engine light is on, if it is on, for free, so I would assume they'd know where it is, and have the hardware neccessary to display the contents of the computer.

Heh...had to change my clutch. So had to drop tranny (actually had to pull it up and out), which meant unplugging all the wires im the way. I wasn't thinking and didn't tag the wires and I think I might have got one crossed or something.

Is taking the tranny out in our cars that difficult? I remember it sucked in my RX-7 but we didn't have that many wires to plug back in, maybe 5, and all the plugs were different. Kinda idiot proof.

Hard...No. A full days work though. And you can't exactly drop the tranny without doing something to the engine cradle and I wasn't gonna mess with that so I just took of the thermostat housing and pulled the heavy thing out (the second time). The first time I did it we only had to do the clutch so we didn't really have to take it out so we didn't. It was still making this horrible noise which I was told my numerous mechanics that it was either the pilot bearing (which wasn't changed the first time around) or the throw out bearing (which was brand new with the clutch). The first time I did it, I had friends who knew Honda's pretty well and they did most of the work with me watching 90% of the time. A week later I ripped it apart with my girlfriends brother and it was all pretty easy once you've seen it only once. I ended up changing the pilot bearing and getting some spring for the fork that connects to the throw out bearing (which appreared to never be there) changed and put it all back together fairly easily. About the Wires...there were 6 or 7 I had to plug back in and 3 sets weren't idiot proofed. One of those being the O2 sensor. My biggest advice is to mark the wires with tape or something no matter if they are idiot proof or not, just to be on the safe side cuz I'm having some wicked problems now.
If anyone has any questions about the whole tranny/clutch/flywheel job...just email me at t_bone03@yahoo.com and I'll be glad to help in anyway possible.

Your ECM is behind the glove box. Like was mentioned, just let Pep Boys pull the codes.

the computer is behind the glove box, and the diag port is under the dash on the drivers side.
