fuel problem solved!?!?
I read about this in honda tuning today it was about a prelude with a turbo and the setup.
It says "the compressed air passes from the turbo through smooth piping to a spearco frontmounted intercooler to pull the heat of compression from the charge. The piping routes behind the false brake vents in the preludes nose. The pipes then head to the stock throttle body and intake maniflod. Two bungs welded to the intake pipe house additional 440cc fuel lucas fuel injectors. The injectors are under the command of an ERL MF2 injector controller. According to Fmax, this is a superior method of coping with the additional fuel needs of a turbocharged engine, eliminating the need for a biggerfuel pump or a fuel prssure riser."
Now couldn't we do this to our cars. If not it was worth a shot

You might be on to something there! This is done with wet nitrous kits, why not with a turbo?! Granted, this is a little more complicated. I wonder how much the Fmax controller is and how it hooks in to the engine sensors? Do you think there would be any problem with the distibution of the fuel when injecting it so far from cylinders? And can the stock fuel system supply enough fuel for the additional injectors?

So there a "bung".....that holds the injectors?......are there just 2 more injectors?.......
a fuel injector controller sounds good
.....
how do you get more fuel to the fuel injector controlller though?
hmmm....Can't wait to get home.....hope my HT mag came

I just looked around f-max.com and found some good info, although a call would answer a few more questions. Each controller is programmed with fuel map for each application (D16, B18, H22, etc.). They offer a map for D16's - I wonder if that would work for our application or if that's a sure way to detonation. Their setup looks really good, but lets see what they say about our motors.....

You can do that. You can also create a fuel system with a return line. Problem is that there's no cheap way or easy way to do it. I'm still for RSX fuel pump and FPR + higher flow injectors + re-mapped fuel corved in the ECU. That is the proper way to do it and it would require modifications that don't include any cutting or drilling, etc. It's also kinda expensive, but in time people may create a program that you can access the ECU with through a laptop and harness. Then all you need is the bigger injectors from RC Engineering (or from some other compatible model). Then just swap in the RSX's fuel pump and FPR. Total cost should be around $500. Assuming that someone comes out with a program and harness for our ECU's...
