alternative fuel in civic?
does anyone know what the differences are between the engine in a flexible-fuel vehicle (FFV) engine versus a standard internal-combustion engine? FFVs (ford rangers and tauruses are among some of the current FFVs) can run on both regular petroleum-based gasoline or ethanol fuel. i was just curious after coming across several alternative fuel websites, none of which had any info on using alternative fuel (specifically E-85 ethanol-based fuel) in a non-FFV.
i dunno if there's been much promotion in any other areas of the US, and i guess there hasn't been much advertising/promotion here in Minnesota, but i am kinda interested in the project. the E-85 fuel in particular is 85% ethanol, 15% petroleum; and this state has a sh*tload of corn, which is one major source of ethanol... and when burned, it pollutes MUCH less (it even costs about 20% less than regular unleaded fuel!).
so anyways... anyone know what happens if you fill up a civic with E-85? just curious

Does that mean that its a no then? heh... In my area they've just started advertising the E85 fuel, I wonder if its really better than going with regular fuel.
