HELP - ground control install
I am in the process of installing my ground control coilovers with koni's on the front of my 2001 EX. Between the
spring and the top perch there is like an inch inch and a half gap. Is this right. I think the distance will be taken
up when I lower the car back down. What happens if i go over a mean bump and the shock totally decompresses?
Anyone ASAP

not sure what happens but this is why neuspeed made their springs as long as stock springs so that there would be no extra room when the shock is fully decompressed. because ya what happens when you lift up your car or hit a bump real fast? it might pop out of the perch and cause some damage...
There is a "gap" there. You are talking about between the top of the GC sleeve and the top of the Koni strut. Once the weight of the car is on the spring and strut, the sleeve will stay in place on the lower stock spring perch(whats left of it anyway). If you were to hit a "mean" enough bump to cause the strut to tottally decompress, then you would have worse suspension problems than worrying about that sleeve riding up on you. Like bent axles, torn CV boots, bent rims, etc.
