I must be lucky..........
I must be lucky because i have a nascar tech as a friend and he said that with the right parts i could belt out around 200-215hp at the wheels. and for a 2k1 ferio thats fast as f@&$. so you all just wait til i get some money and then me and my crew will dominate
hahaha
hahaha
oh yeah? well, with the right parts, anything can have 200+ horsepower easy! i watched a vw bug run a 10.xx 1/4 mile in clay city, ky dragway!
i told myself, " self, hmmm with the right parts, my car can make about 300 hp @ the wheels! then i'll dominate!!!! bwahaha!!!"
i hope u do hit the 215 hp mark though!

i'm trying to get the $$$$$$ together right now. $3000 for a turbo. i don't think that is too bad. 50-60 whp. i'm around 170whp now. i'm also thinking about a bottle. it will be cheaper, and i can get the same results. only time will tell!
hey silvergts, you talkin bout reaching 215 in your celica? or your girlfriends car? and i've said it before, but i'll say it again, damn dude, your car is nice!!!
anyway, kazzum you are gonna have to tell us what ends up happing.
Now is that 215whp or 215 at the flywheel? Well in any case it 'll take a lot more than $2-3K to make that kind of power with a Civic without FI.
My friend spend over $6K on head work (ported/polished, cams, valve springs, etc.) plus VAFC, pulleys, throttle body, ignition, etc, plus a kick *** header/exhaust, free flow cat.. on his Type-R motor and puts down 194hp at the wheels (about 230hp). He even did a lot of the work himself except for when he sent the head out to get it P/P'd. For an '01+ Civic to even put down 194whp you 'll have to do a lot more than just valvetrain mods. You 'll have to do some major work on the bottom-end and now you 're talking quite a "few more" bucks, well let's just say a LOT more than just $2-3K.. like 5 times that. We 're talking about an ITR motor that starts at 164whp, not an EX motor that probably has around 105-109whp.. I don't know how good a friend this "Nascar" guy is to you, but he 's full of it.. Someone like him should know it takes a lot more money to get an extra 100hp out of a lowly Civic, especially without FI! You might as well drop in an RSX-S or RSX-R (if you can import one) motor. It 'll be cheaper.
