nongy, i don't think that is what he meant. i read that thread a while back thinking it was the same thing with my gf's 02 lx. it's not that it idles low, it's that the car completely shuts off. my gf's car shut off three times in one day a few weeks ago. She had honda tow the car up to the dealership and look at it. They said that they couldn't duplicate the problem.

supercivic2k1, i too would like to know a civic would shut off. i'm just glad my gf wasn't on a curvy road when it happened because the power steering went out when the car shut off! has anyone else experienced their car shutting off while driving?

Air/fuel ratio might be off maybe too much air and not enough gas to keep idle. Huh, I don't know.

The exact same thing happened to me. I have an auto and couldn't figure out how it would completely die. Worst of all I died during rush hour. The only thing that I could figure out was that I washed the car before this happened.. other than that.. I can't figure out why it died. No use bringing it to a dealer because it hasn't happened again.
