Question to IamLoki

To: IamLoki

I like your car with dropped, that's what I want for my car....how much total u spend on drop? u said you have prokit, so did you get any shocks there? I am thinking prokit with koni but that cost around $800 maybe 100 more on installation.........well not cheap to me. Can you give me more detail on you drop. by the way, what size of rims you have?

thanks, very appreciated.

Thanks! Springs and installation cost me $325 with tax and installation, and another $125 for the rear camber kit. (You don't need them, you're still within spec. I just don't like the butterfly look.) I don't have shocks, but from the stories I've heard and read; It looks as though I will eventually need them. Again, I really didn't want to dish out $800+ for a drop, but if I had to do it all over again I would have went with this option instead: H&R Full Coilovers Reason being, is that it would be an easy install, and it would keep my stock struts and springs intact, so that when I resell the car I could reinstall the factory struts, the dampener and springs are built as a unit, so you'll have better ride quality. Not that the Koni/Spring option isn't good, but for a few hundred more, it seems to be the best approach. (I may end up doing this anyway.) Other than that, the ride quality is slighty more abrupt, but still acceptable. (I feel the road a bit more.) Anyway, check out my ride in the members area for info on my wheels and other goodies. I hope this helps.

for that HR coilover, it look like all 4 spring are same, isnt our front has bigger spring, does it affect any ride quality? I know when we mod our car, car itself decreased value, so is that make u think to put all OEM stuff back to make good resell value? well, i think that HR is to expensive, i might go for prokit/koni front & rear. You told me you didnt get any shocks, how is that camber kit help? Do you know if we get knoi shock or ebiach spring, are those all in lifetime warranty?...just in case if we blew our shock they will replace it!

thank you

I don't think the picture of the coilovers are for our car, but then again, I've never seen those coilovers in person. I just like the option of adjustability and matched manufacturing.

When I plan to sell the car, I will put all the OEM stuff back on. You never know who'll be buying the car. If I left all the aftermarket stuff on, I narrow down my market. (My last car an old retired couple purchased.)

Koni says, "Gauranteed for life on the vehicle they are installed on."

Rear camber kit only change the appearance angle of the rear wheel. With the prokit my negative camber was -.76 from 0. Still within sugguested camber spec, (-1 to 0) but I just didn't like the pancake look. Just a personal pref.

are you not consider getting H&R Full Coilover? it's $1200. can you tell me why you chose eibach/koni/camber kit instead of H&R Coilover, cuz I know if that set up will cost close to $1k range........reason you not chose coilover is ??? the price or ride quality, or struct life ?

thanks

just don't know to much about coilovers, and seems to me like the other setup would be more stable and covers everything that i would need where the coilovers themself u were talking about were 1200
