i have a question and to put it in context let me type out the sentences:
"Another technological advance that helps greatly reduce turbo lag is the VNT turbo. VNT stands for Variable Nozzle Turbine. A VNT turbo has a ring of moveable vanes that change both the incidence angle at which the exhaust gas hits the turbine and the A/R of the turbine housing."
I called two places here in Tampa and nobody knew what the A/R meant. Can anybody shed some light on what the letters stand for and what exactly is the ratio they're talking about?

Rep Power: 0 I would have to say Air Resistance.
The vanes can adjust their angle to either block more air from flowing through (creating more torque) or reducing the angle in order to allow more air to flow past.

Rep Power: 0 wouldn't blocking the air from coming through result in less Oxygen-->then less fuel to maintain the same A/F ratio-->then less power which results also in less torque
can you go into more detail plz
