Blue Side View Mirrors??

Hey Everyone,

Does anyone know how to get that polarized blue side view mirror look, like on BMW's or VW's that reduces glare. Is it just a tint film, or can you at least imitate it with a tint film and if so where can you get blue tint film? Or do you think a tint place can do it?

Thanx
Mike

Yes its just a tint on the mirrors. I dont know if its tint on the BMW's or not but for our cars we would use tint. Any good tint place should be able to do it for you of atleast point you in the right direction.

Oh really? It's just tint? I wonder what the cars with those type of mirrors use? Maybe the reflective film underneath the glass is blue itself? Maybe we could get some glass like that and replace the glass in our mirrors? Hum... Maybe not. I think they're molded into their plastic surround. I guess bluish tint would be allright. I wonder if the foldable power heated mirrors that are available overseas also include have that bluish color?

I know if you go to the autoparts store and get a replacement peice of mirror, it is really a two way mirror..maybe the blue is something behind it?

True you can get the M3 mirrors with the blue tint already on them. You can find a good deal on them on eBay.
