Re: engine swap

This has been covered before and no to none of that to what you said. Swapping is not that easy. What motor is it, I am either thinking its the h22 or the f22. They are both slow motors but its whatever you want. You need wire harness, ecu, motor mounts and some other things.

Re: engine swap

You won't get much out of a 2.2, doesn't matter if its an f or an h. Try selling it and doing a b16 or b18 swap. There is also a much larger selection of aftermarket parts for the b series motors. I'm currently building a b18c1 myself. Going to love the final result...

Re: engine swap

If he wants real power from a honda he wouldnt bother with any motor except the k series. K series beats them all day.

Wrong. The LS series beats them all.

Civic's don't go fast. I say invest $ elsewhere, like in a FR/AWD car or else cheaper cars are going to do circles around you. Just my .02

You are right, but that's the equivilent of comparing a go-ped and a moped.

Sure the moped is going to win but they are both losers.

Re: engine swap

For what it will cost you and how easy they are to find, get a b16 or b18. The motor is small enough that you'll still have plenty of room to work and everybody has parts for them. Will save you money in the long run.

No one said, it had to be a 4 cylinder.

6 cylinder swaps are rare, but hardly new. I know a guy local to me who swapped a c30a motor into an ek hatch, of course with what hes invested in the car he could prob have actually bought an nsx..
