Cool DIY Hard Steel Brake Line Replacement

I have googled and forum searched this to death and for the life of me can't find a thing.

I have a 6th generation Civic (1997 LX) which I maintain myself. My brake light started going on a few months ago. Topped up brake fluid, weeks later, light comes on again. While under the car last weekend, found that two of the steel brake lines under the car are rusting. The area around it also looks wet, but does not actually drip anywhere.

Long story short, I know there are two brake lines and three fuel lines underneath the car, but I want to be absolutely sure that the lines I am replacing are brake lines. I'm not a total moron when it comes to my car but brakes are brakes are brakes.

Anyhow, I took a picture. The lines are visibly rusted and that right hand side of the picture where the two rusted lines are is the Driver's side of the car.

Honda's price for #8 and #10 are $85 each, so I am going to make a few calls and see if I can find them at a wrecker for less.

Honda also says I should be able to replace these myself, although that plastic diffuser can be a nightmare to get off. I don't have a lift so I will just be using jack stands to get the back end off the ground.

Has anyone done this before with any degree of success? I don't want to get halfway through only to realize I can't do it and be left without a car .
