Brake Pad Install Help.. Quick..
Ok.. i'm in the middle of installing new pads and i want to know how to bleed the brake fluid a little so i can put the caliper back on since the new pads will stick out more.. thanks

Rep Power: 318 umm, you don't bleed the brakes to get the pistons to go back in. All ya have to do is press the piston back in. You might need to use a C-clamp or something similar. In the past, I've used those Quick Grip clamps.

Rep Power: 0 I always use a very large screwdriver, or a pry bar to push the caliper back, but be very careful !! And make sure the brake fluid resevior is not filled too high, the fluid has to have a place to go and if the resevior is too full, it will over flow.

Rep Power: 0 if you want to do it the write way, you will need c-clamps, a peice of plywood, brake line pincer, and a 10mm flare nut wrench.
if you want to do it the correct way you will need to pinch the brake line(so no fluid will seep back up the system), open the bleeder screw, and then use the plywood and clamp to puch the piston in. Make sure you do not get brake fluid on your paint, you will be seeing holes if you do. put the caliper back on, close the bleeder screw, remove the pinch, and pump the brakes a couple times. If the pedal drops after you pump the brakes, you have air in the system. Time to bleed the brakes. have fun!

Rep Power: 305 All you need is a brake spreader. Basically it is an inverted c-clamp. It simply spreads the pads to allow you to install them. Either that or I use a big pair of channel locks and gently squeeze the piston in.
And this method is quoted in the OEM Service manual. "Step 10. Push the piston (A) so the caliper will fit over the pads. Make sure the piston boot is in position to prevent damaging it when pivoting the caliper down."
