painting honda emblems

i could have sworn i seen a thread for painting the honda emblems on the trunk and the grill but cant find it newhere...i got a silver coupe and i wanna paint the emblem on the back black...can somebody show me the thread or tell me what kind of paint and the process of doin it?.....

Re: painting honda emblems

you should use duplicolor metalcast paints which are made to stick directly to chrome and still keep the shine. if you want black, i recommend using the SMOKE color and doing alot of coats til it gets dark enough. if you dont like it, simply paint over the metalcast with a regular black paint plus clear coat. if you only do metalcast, you wont need any clear (its already chip and temp resistant)
