OHH SH#@! I think i ****ED UP!

simple job really... until now. i was replacing alt belt and a/c belt. In order to get ac belt off, remove 2 bolts on transmission mount to slide new belt on.

the bolts are spinning freely in there now and ratteling up and down as if there were a nut welded to the frame on the back side of the bolt that had snapped off!!!

My next move is to call the local shop, but i want to figure out first if there is anything that can be done to remove old and put in new.

Transmission mount is opposite the belts, are you talking about the underneath torque mounts? If so, you can slip a smaller bolt through the mount hole and the frame-welded nut hole, then secure the new bolt with a nut/washer. If we're even on the same page...

my bad... motor mounts** lower mount by wheel wells. I would assume the torque mounts are the same thing that we are talking about. bolts going up into the frame are spinning free. its at the shop now. Its out of my ability to fix the problem.

disaster averted! they broke old bolts off, drilled through the top & dropped new bolts through, put the nut on the bottom and tightened it up.
