an 05 civic coupe rear bumper will fit an 02 civic coupe rear, yes. the rear bumpers are identical fitment and you will not notice any difference (front bumpers are completely different though).
and i believe both type-r and mugen lips are both polyurethane, so theyre pretty much the same, just a different look to each. whichever one you think looks better will work best for you.
