Turbo-charging an EP3?

hi all, this is mostly a thread to give to my girlfriends brother as info

he has a civic type r ep3 (03 plate).. not sure what engine model it has

he was talking about wanting eventually to buy an evo 8 or 10, but having seen that (probably famous here) video of a turbo-charged civic type r destroy an evo 8, it got me thinking why doesnt he just use what he has, save money in not having to shell out on an evo, and get more performance from his civic

i dont know much about civics but wanted some info as to how he would go about turbo-charging his civic and the mods and costs involved in this kind of upgrade...

i am hoping you guys can help me

Re: Turbo-charging an EP3?

most guys just get a bolt-on supercharger for the ep3 and theres very little custom work to do. turbo may be a bit more advanced in terms of install and tuning.

Re: Turbo-charging an EP3?

google jackson racing superchargers with that you should be able to beat an lightly modified evo 8 if though it actually has anything done to it you are probably going to have to boost with a turbo cause turbo's tend to produce more power. cost wise in the U.S. I think the supercharger kit is like $2500. but I am guessing you are in England or somewhere in Europe if you have Type R's
