Exclamation Help Please, building motor ( R18 )

First off can sombody give me an estimation of how much i could pull a motor out of a salvage yard for?

secon, im going to get the head ported and polished, new valve springs, new rods, and stronger pistons.

Anything else i need to do to get ready for high boost?

Then i want to get the weapon-R intake manifold to replace the plastic stock one.

I want to be able to push 20 psi.

good luck with that one! not sure what you can do with that one.. as its got an integrated exhaust port, which eliminates a header, so no real gains there.. unless you make a test pipe or are able to bolt a turbo directly to the head, theres really nothing you can do with that engine

Yeah, I don't think a turbo manifold even exists for that motor because of the integrated exhaust manifold. You'd be much better off swapping in a k20, although it will be very expensive. You could run decent boost levels on a stock k20 though, so you can save on the build.

dont use that motor...honda has a problem with the block leaking coolant..basically a porus block...i have changed 3 engins already at work (honda) because they were leaking...if you make this thing work even harder then it has to its sure to fail...just go with the k20 way way better motor even just in stock form. the r18 is just a grocery getter
