I have a 91 civic. I went to autozone and bought new halfshafts. Slid
right in the tranny, but the spline was too big to go in the hub. I checked
online and it was the right part number so I took it back. We trying the year
before and the year after with no luck. I got a refund and went to Oreilly
they had to order them. Picked them up the next day and same problem
the outer spline is too big? Any one else come across this? Know any
good part numbers? Hate to go to the stealership.

went back to orielly's today. They have more info on their computer than what you can access on the internet. The guy looked at how many splines are on the new ones and compared it to how many are on the remanufactured ones. They were different. The remanufactured ones have the same number at the one I took off the car. 22 I think, but not sure, the new ones had 26, once again, I think. So even though I wanted the new ones, I ordered the remanufactured ones and will be sure they fit tomorrow when I get them.
