Hey guys, 7 days after i bought my certified pre owned civic 05 from a honda dealership i got into an accident. A spare from underneath a truck fell off, i ran over it and swerved into the retaining wall causing suspension damage to my front left axle. Anyways.... i went through Geico's auto repair xpress program (so far so good) and they call to tell me that apparantly the transmission case had a crack on the other side and someone use glue to put it together, totally not related to my accident. They took pictures of the whole car including this. What should i do?
After buying the car i felt a little shafted because they overpriced me by about a 1000 on the car and sold me a warranty for 2200. Only reason i stuck through it because all of the turmoil of 4 months shopping through a car with just graduated credit.

But getting back, what should i do? If it was certified pre owned then they should've known that the car had been in some accident and they should've informed me. Instead no one said anything...

They don't have a crystal ball, if the accident isn't reported then they can't know. But depending on where the crack was, they could be responsible for picking it up on inspection.

true, the mechanic and i tossed some ideas like that back and forth, accident not reported, clean carfax, etc.. but it would be okay for any pre owned car. We are talking about a honda certified pre owned 150 point inspection, check and clean everything shampoo conditioner everywhere car. Well at least i think, lol.

If it's Canadian, check Carproof, Carfax doesn't work up here. But I'd drop the car off at their lot and start picking out my new one.

um, honda preowned means they shouldve found that in the inspection. take it back and make them fix it.

i have an 05 coupe and at 39k miles there was true grinding in the trans (5PSD), they made a huge fuss about repairing it saying that the clutch looked like someone dragged the car up and down the track.. anyways after a week of going no where i called honda corporate and raised hell for about a month... because it was just over the warranty. But ive never dragged the car nor tracked it, have now haha but anyways after calling honda corporate i got an accord lx rental for a month and a 100 buck gas card and a free transmission.... bastards took my radiator reservoir cap though..
